Baby Care: Crying in Public

I sometimes get extremely annoyed by people who seem so beyond ignorant about how to treat children ... ESPECIALLY mothers.
For example, I don't think anyone should leave a baby (or a 4-year-old for that matter) crying in public for 20 minutes. We shouldn't all be exposed to that!! Especially when the person seems to be doing nothing at all to comfort the baby.
One time in a store, after 20 minutes of listening to this woman's baby cry—YES LITERALLY 20 minutes, and she didn't seem to care—I was so pissed I could barely contain myself.
Another time I was at a fireworks display with my son ... and kids were crying. Um, that can be traumatic for children, especially if they are under 2 years of age! HELLO! 'SCUSE ME??!! If your baby is crying, take him home! Or comfort him!
