Newborn Baby Care: Cleaning a Newborn's Uncircumcised Penis
The foreskin is the extra bit of skin that covers the glans penis (head of the penis) of your newborn baby boy. For the first several years of your son's life, the inner lining of the foreskin is pretty much stuck onto the head of the penis. You will not be able to pull back the foreskin over the head of your newborn's penis; this is normal. Do NOT forcibly try to retract the foreskin! To keep the foreskin clean, all you have to do is wash the outer foreskin, along with the rest of the diaper area, with a mild soap and water.
If after several months, you are able to partially pull back the foreskin without forcing it, just clean the exposed glans with water. Do not use soap, alcohol or other irritating cleansers.
