Should I be worried if my infant doesn't look into my eyes or coo at me?
Babies should develop a social smile and start cooing at you at about 2 months of age. By 4 months, your baby should be laughing and babbling. If your baby isn't doing this by 4 months, I recommended consulting with your pediatrician for a full developmental evaluation. While this doesn't necessarily mean that your baby has autism or another disorder, it's important to be diligent and work with your pediatrician to make there that there isn't a problem.
