Is my 7 month old behind?

My doctor said that my 7 month old is behind with sitting up. He has just about got it, but it's not 100%. Are all 7 month olds out there ALL sitting up without a problem?
I think I may know why my son is behind, if he is indeed behind. My husband got out of the military when our son was just 1 1/2 months old. We moved from AZ to TX. Lived there for 2 month, then moved to NY, lived there for 2 months, then moved back to Texas. Our lives have been so hectic and stressful it's obviously been affecting our baby's progress.
