Bottle Feeding Guilt

I haven't been able to successfully breastfeed my baby. How do I get over the guilt about switching to bottle feeding?

First things first: Don't beat yourself up. There are a myriad of reasons why a mother has to stop breastfeeding, despite her best intentions or expectations. Perhaps your goal was to breastfeed for a full year or longer, and for some reason, you were unable to. Instead of feeling guilty, you should celebrate that you have already given your baby the best start! Because even if you only breastfed for a few weeks, your baby has already benefited.

No woman should have to feel guilty for the decisions she makes, especially as a mother. As long as you've had knowledgeable, skillful breastfeeding support along the way, you can rest assured that you are doing what's right for you and your baby with bottle feeding.
