Need Advice on Finding a Pediatrician

I am currently pregnant and looking for a Pediatrician. How do I go about it and what is the best avenue to take when picking a doctor?
My husband and I have just started our search for a pediatrician for our little peanut. However we are very concerned about the rise of vaccine related illnesses and am trying to choose the best protection for our child - whether that is selective or delayed vaccinations. I am new mom and do not have a network of other moms to ask. How do you find a compatible pediatrician to work with these concerns?
I called our family doctor and he told us that we could pick any Pediatrician as long as they take our insurance. For the most part, every Pediatrician in our area takes the Blue Care Network. So now where do I start? What is the best route for us?
