Child Safety: Cooking With Your Kid

Minimize the need for bandages (or prosthetics) in the kitchen and maximize child safety by teaching your kids to cut using a butter knife on soft foods like boiled eggs, mushrooms or bananas. Once they've got the mechanics down, you can move them up to a sharper knife and let them tackle more advanced slicing without taking a crash course in first aid.
