There's a reason teachers love pipe cleaners: They're the solution to everything. Take a handful of them with you when visiting homes that aren't childproofed. When threaded through handles, they make great temporary locks for cupboards and drawers. Not to mention great distractions when your kid is trying to touch all of Granny's candy dishes.
