Baby Feeding: Honey and Kids Food Safety
Can my baby eat honey?
Although honey seems like a wholesome, natural food to feed your baby, it is not recommended for children under 12 months of age. The reason is that honey contains botulism spores. While they are harmless to older children and adults, they may be toxic to an infant's less-mature digestive and immune systems. So in the interest of kids' food safety, don't give your baby honey.
