Product Recalls: Evenflo Baby Gate
Evenflo Voluntarily Recalls Top-of-Stair Plus Wood Gates Due to Fall Hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada just announced a voluntary recall of the Evenflo Top-of-Stair Plus Wood Gates for babies. The slats on the gates can break or detach.
Kids have been injured due to falls on stairs or scrapes from broken slats. Thankfully, all injuries reported have been minor bumps, bruises and scratches. (Phew!)
The recall involves Evenflo models 10502 and 10512 (check the bottom rail for the model number.) No other Evenflo model numbers or gates are affected by this recall. (Phew...again!)
Parents should stop using the recalled gates and visit Evenflo for information on how to obtain a free, newer-model replacement gate. (Triple Phew!)
