Costumes You Can Make Out of Your Kid's Pajamas
This year, make a Halloween costume out of your kid's pajamas (and then you can actually say "yes" when your little beggar wants to wear the costume every single night for the next two months).
- Bunny: Glue a fluffy white cotton-ball tail onto the back of white or pink pajamas. Add a pair of store-bought bunny ears, draw on some whiskers and she's ready to hop out the door.
- Santa: Stuff red pajamas with pillows and cinch with a wide black belt. Glue on faux fur cuffs and add a Santa hat. White beard optional. (But if you're going to go there ... draw a "moustache 'n beard" shape on a paper plate, cut it out, glue cotton balls all over it, and then tape or staple some elastic or string to the sides to make it stay on.)
- Cookie Monster: Start with blue pajamas and a matching blue hat. Glue big googly eyes onto the front of the hat and accessorize with half-eaten cookies (that shouldn't be too hard, right?).
- Superhero: Turn your kid into a superhero by gluing a giant "S" onto the front of his (Superman) PJs and adding a superhero cape.
- Princess: Add a princess tiara and feather boa to some princess pajamas. Paint her nails, sprinkle on some glitter ... and you're ready for the Halloween ball!
