Halloween Recipes: Witch's Brew

Mix up a batch of spider cider with this Halloween recipe your kids won't be able to resist!
- 3 liters ginger ale
- 3 liters sparkling apple cider
- 3 liters cranberry juice
- 1 (12-oz) can thawed orange juice concentrate
- A bunch of gummy worms or spiders
- A cauldron (available at your local party store)
- A punch bowl that fits inside the cauldron
- One block dry ice (find it at your local supermarket or party store)
- Heavy-duty rubber gloves or tongs to handle the dry ice as it can burn your hands if you touch it!
Make a tray of creepy crawly ice cubes ahead of time by dropping a gummy worm or spider into each section of an ice cube tray, filling with water and freezing.
Using the rubber gloves or a set of tongs, place the dry ice in the bottom of the cauldron. You may have to break it up with a knife to fit it in there evenly.
Using a measuring cup, pour a layer of water over the ice to make it steam.
Combine the ginger ale, sparkling apple cider, cranberry juice and orange juice concentrate in the punch bowl. Stir to combine.
Drop in the creepy crawly ice cubes.
Carefully place the punch bowl inside the cauldron.
Serve up in spooky Halloween cups and garnish with gummy worms or spiders!

- Halloween recipes are cool and all, but be sure to keep young kids away from the dry ice!
