Looking for an easy, "electrifying" costume for your kid? Find inspiration in the laundry room. (You know, the room you spend every spare second in but still can't manage to get through the piles and piles AND PILES of dirty laundry! We digress. ...)

  • Costume maker/laundress:
    You
  • A pair of pajamas
  • Safety pins
  • A bunch of mateless socks:
    Finally! A way to use all those singletons!
  • Dryer sheets:
    Your kid will have the best-smelling costume around!
  • Hair spray:
    Optional
  • 1
    Have your kid get into his PJs.
  • 2
    Safety-pin dryer sheets and single socks to the outside of the jammies.
  • 3
    For that extra electric look, hairspray your kid's hair straight up.

    And voilà! The costume is done. Now back to that pile of laundry. ...
