Kids' Clothes and Self-Expression

OK, maybe you don't care too much about fashion, but your daughter does. And there is a reason for that. Kids and teens don't consider kids' clothes just clothes. They think clothes are a way to express themselves (example: if your kid dresses sporty, they might want to join a team.) My point here is, don't try to make your kids wear anything they don't want to. Once they are old enough, let them pick out their own clothes (and do that BEFORE college). Trust me, they'll thank you. Of course, if your child suddenly wants to get a tattoo and bellybutton ring, you might want to take control. Just trust me, let your daughter express herself—even if it's through something as simple as clothes.
