Kid Healthy Snack: No-Sugar Applesauce
Submitted by Oregonian

Fresh (and warm) applesauce always tastes better than the canned stuff—and when I make it myself, I know that it doesn't have added sugar (which my kids don't need).
- 6 large apples (Granny Smith, Gala and Honeycrisp are my favorites), peeled and cored.
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
Put all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft and broken up.
Remove from heat and stir vigorously to break apples apart to your liking.
Cool and serve.
