Childhood Illnesses: Food Poisoning
How can my kid get food poisoning?
Kids can get food poisoning by eating contaminated food. Ick.
What are the symptoms?
Exactly what you'd expect: Nausea, vomiting, cramps, diarrhea, all that fun stuff. Food poisioning isn't contagious, but if you all ate the same food, you'll all have the same symptoms (and have to fight for the toilet!).
Anything I can do to help?
If the symptoms are severe, call your pediatrician. For run-of-the-mill food poisoning, make sure to give your child lots and lots of liquids.
