Prevent Kids' Sore Noses During Cold Season

Problem:
It's bad enough when your kid gets sick, but when they get a runny nose and it's chapped and sore, you end up with a snotty mess that your child won't let you get within 10 feet of.
Solution: At the first sign of a cold or runny nose, use a wet cloth or a baby wipe and gently clean their nose thoroughly. Then, use some lip balm (preferably something that smells good) and use a q-tip or a clean finger to coat the top, bottom, and even a little inside the nose (don't forget the part between the nose and the upper lip). This will keep the skin from getting chapped (or, if it's too late, it will soothe the area that is already chapped).
Downside: Getting your kid to stop using the chapstick on his nose in public!
