Kids Flu Shot Frustration

It is so frustrating that people are not willing to vaccinate themselves or their children against the seasonal or H1N1 flu. As a clinical pharmacist in a hospital, I've already seen a 6-year-old girl die from H1N1 and I can't imagine how I'd feel if that was my baby. Our hospital isn't even in a big city.
Although my daughter is 10 months now, if I were pregnant, I'd definitely protect myself (as I did last year). There is some causal evidence that pregnant women who are infected with viruses during pregnancy are at greater risk for autism in their children. That is why women who are pregnant during the winter months (second and third trimester) tend to get sick more often and have greater chances for autism in their children.
My sister is now saying that the H1N1 flu shot has nanochips in it so the government can track people—I mean, come on! If all this energy on fighting kids' flu shots was redirected to actually getting it and protecting oneself, we wouldn't have to worry about pandemics!
