Kids Sleeping Stories: I Have Created a Monster!

I don't know what to do! My 4 year old sleeps in the bed with my husband and I. I realize a lot of people do this. I have always enjoyed him sleeping with us. But he is getting older now. And I am pregnant so it is time for him to sleep in his own bed.

And to add to it he will not stay with anyone else, not his grandparents or aunt or anyone; he is so use to sleeping with us, when it is time to go to bed he cries for me. At home he wakes up during the night to make sure I am still there.

I really don't know what to do! I don't have ANY time to my self! And my husband and I don't have any time alone together. AT ALL. Not only can we not have any time by our self at night but we can't even leave him with family because they don't want to deal with his screaming fits. I really don't know what to do.

When I was a kid I slept with my parents until I was 12 because I had night terrors. My parents even took me to the doctor's to see what was going on. So I really think that I have done this to him, I didn't want him to be scared like I was so I have always let him sleep with us. But it has to stop, especially before the baby is born. We can't all fit comfortably in one bed and it is not safe. I don't want to wait until the baby is born because I am afraid he will resent the baby for kicking him out of his bed. But it is so much easier when you are breast feeding to let the newborn sleep with you. But this time I will put an end to it much earlier, I learned from this mistake, I will not wait until the baby is 4.
