Educating People About Osteogenesis Imperfecta
Submitted by lola5386
My son Malaki is 19 months old and he is so energetic and wonderful. He just has brittle bones.
He just started to roll around on the floor. Type III OI is the most severe form of OI. People see him and say that it's so sad that he has it because he's on oxygen, but there is nothing to be sad about because we are so lucky to have him with us and he is such a miracle.
I didn't even know about it until after he was born. He is so smart. He just has a physical disability, not a mental disability.
How can I just help him not notice when all these people stare at him?
