Dealing With Silly Behavior in Children

When your kid is acting silly and can't get control of himself, try these tricks:
report abuse- Tell your child the silly behavior isn't appropriate. She may thinks she's being totally cute when she's really being totally obnoxious.
- Ignore the behavior so your child doesn't get the payoff of attention—whether it's positive or negative.
- Tell your child he may be silly, but only when he's alone. So, if he insists on silliness, he'll have to leave the room to do so.
- Finally, make peace with the fact that silly behavior sometimes comes with the kid territory, but rest assure that it won't last forever!
