A lot? A little? None at all?

Rosie watches her favourite show, "Everything's Rosie" at 7:35 every morning. It's only about a 10 minute long programme. So, she watches around 70 minutes a week. Sometimes she'll watch the CBeebies Bedtime Stories in the evening which is also around 10 minutes long. Other than that, the telly is off. She prefers books, puzzles, and playing outdoors more. I'm just curious as to what others do.

It really depends. Kendall loves to watch Cbeebies Bedtime Stories and Addison loves his In the Night Garden. When Jack has a footie game on the boys will watch it. They also like to watch those old classic movies with me Sunday morning and they love Strictly Come Dancing too! I'm not sure what that adds up to, but since they are so active we don't really care. Then my 13 year old step daughter watches how much she pleases. She'll join in on Strictly and Sunday movies with us.

A lot. Our tv is pretty much always on but they aren't always fully intent on watching it. They watch their absolute favorite shows and the rest of the time they are running around in the living room or the playroom doing things like imaginative play, coloring, playing with blocks and puzzles, etc.

My kids typrically get about 1/2 hour to an hour on a school day after they are done with their homework.  On the weekends they get to watch a little more but that usually because we have a movie night one of the days.

They can have up to an hour after school monday to thursday, then after clubs on a friday they watch a movie and at the weekend on Sat morning they get a couple hours while we lay in... so I guess they watch about 7.5 hours a week.

It seems like a lot, but I don't think it really is. I used to worry about it until I watched *how* she watched TV... I almost never see her sit down and just mindlessly watch it. Usually it's background noise or she's paying slight attention to it while she does other stuff.

The only shows she watches religiously and full attentively are Mythbusters and Psych. Go figure. Sometimes nature programs.

But mostly, it's background. So I turn it off when she's not around, but I don't worry about her having it on all the time. I use my radio for the same thing -- and my radio is much dirtier than the TV she watches *lol* Animal Planet, Nat Geo Wild, Science, Nick, and sometimes Discovery.

We do not have cable. My children occasionally watch movies if they're sick or on a long road trip. They can watch Youtube videos during school time to learn more about a subject.

It really varies. Anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hrs a day. Occasionally more, like if we're sick or if we're home all day but I have a ton to get done.

None at all. Autumn is 8 months old and I feel as though she doesn't really need to be watching tv. There are plenty of other things to entertain her.

it's hard to say b/c she will turn on the TV and then ignore it and go do other things.

Some days maybe an hour - some days much more.  It all depends on the day and what we have going on.

None, we had our cable shut off and only use our TV for movies. So I guess they do watch movies a few times a week.
