Signs That Your Teen Is Stressed
Everyone has some stress, and not all stress is bad, but too much stress is never a good thing. The following symptoms are serious indicators that your kid is about to have a stress overload.
More trouble with teachers.
An increased need for a lot of sleep—or not sleeping well.
A desire to eat all the time—or never eating.
Headaches, stomachaches, colds, infections, sore muscles.
Escapist behavior—overdoing one thing (TV, music, studying, sleeping, Web surfing) and ignoring other things.
Withdrawal from friends and family.
Crying for no apparent reason.
Feeling like an idiot.
Feeling restless and anxious; worrying all the time.
Feeling like everything is out of control—like they're out of control.
Depression, sadness, crabbiness, the blahs.
