Is it safe to let my teenager get her tongue pierced?
If you allow your daughter to get her tongue pierced, you must be sure she is going to a place that has sterile equipment. If not, she would be at risk for HIV, hepatitis B and C, as well as bacterial infections. Tongue piercing also can ultimately damage the teeth and tongue.
