Supporting a Gay Teenager
How do we support our gay son and his closeted boyfriend?
If your son's boyfriend is not yet ready to come out, the only thing you can do is continue to support your son and his relationship and leave the decision to come out to his boyfriend. After all, his family may not be as supportive of their son as you are of yours. One thing you can do as you get to know the boyfriend better is offer to facilitate a discussion with his parents—if and when he wants it.
