Dan Wells on Providing Structure for Kids

Submitted by dara
I think it's important to provide the order of things to your kids before you deliver the message—and then to be consistent. Our bedtime routine is two books, two songs and then we're going to bed. When we don't say that out loud, Jadon is like, "One more book. Just one more drink!" But when we say it, reinforce it and stick to it, everything goes great. If you lay the groundwork for how it's going to go, your kids will really respond well to the structure.
Besides being a parent, Dan Wells is known for his roles on Days of Our Lives and Free Ride as well as guest-starring roles on Will & Grace and Gilmore Girls.
