David Lascher on Believing in Fairy Tales

Kids are so hopeful. When you're a kid, you really believe that life is going to be happily every after, into the sunset and into the castle. That's what childhood is all about. I'd like my daughter to have that kind of ideology for as long as she can. I won't let my kid know that there's no tooth fairy. Childhood should be fun and carefree for as long as it possibly can. Eventually, it's up to parents to start feeding the harsh realities of life to their kids. I say, why not let them believe in the fairy tale as long as possible?
