Mom Parenting: Lonely and Exhausted
Submitted by Mom040909
OK, I'm a 23-year-old stay-at-home mom. Before I had my baby, I had lots of friends, went out on the weekends and had adult conversations all the time with just random strangers. Now it's a different story!!!
I talk baby talk all day long with my 4-month-old. I don't have but one friend and she lives 45 miles away. I cant afford to go out on the weekends anymore, and the most adult conversation I have always consists of talking about my daughter or something that happened that day with her. I don't remember the last time I went out with my husband and didn't talk about our daughter, stress, money or something like that. Being at home all day with no one to talk to makes one get pretty lonely.
When does the tiredness stop? My daughter has been sleeping through the night for about two weeks now but still gets up around 6. But I'm still tired and feel like I never get enough sleep. HELP!
