As a parent, you have to follow through with your consequences. If you don't, you're screwed. So if you tell your kid, "Stop that or I'm going to abandon you in the woods," and they don't stop, then you need to abandon them in the woods. I've done it. OK, not really, but seriously, following through on consequences works ... and it makes a big difference.
Besides being a dad, Michael Ian Black is best known as an actor, comedian and writer and has starred in shows such as Comedy Central's Reno 911! and VH1's I Love the '80s... series.
