Maybe you're afraid because you have "baggage," or maybe you've convinced yourself you don't have the time—well, snap out it! Dating is perfectly healthy and you owe it to yourself (and your kids) to be happy in all areas of your life. So make time for it!
Challenge 3: Start dating if you're single
There's no need to rush into the process if you're shy—just ease your way into it. Here are some simple dating starters:
- Treat yourself. Boost your confidence with a new look: Spruce up your old look with new hair, makeup, outfit—anything that makes you feel good about yourself.
- Socialize. Get out there and meet some new people: Ask friends to go out with you, attend a networking event, go to a party, plan a group event/dinner for people to mix and mingle, ask friends to introduce you to others, join a networking or online dating site.
- Break the ice. Ask someone you've been thinking about to "go hang out" with you.
Go out there and get some hugs!
