Josie Bissett on Being a Single Parent
Submitted by Josie Bissett
Being a single mom, I'm not afraid to ask for help! What has helped me a lot in single parenting is that I picked a community to live in that's small and really tight. My community, along with relatives who live nearby, really makes it all work.
I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the extra support. I trade kids with my sister all the time. And carpooling is a savior. If I didn't have that, I couldn't be two places at one time. They say it takes a village to raise a family, right? Well, I'm not shy—I'm using my village!
Besides being a mom, Josie Bissett is an actress who can currently be seen on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She is also the author of the children's book Tickle Monster, which is available for purchase at Josiebissett.com.
