Josie Bissett on Being a Single Parent
Submitted by Josie Bissett
Being a single mom, I'm not afraid to ask for help! What has helped me a lot in single parenting is that I picked a community to live in that's small and really tight. My community, along with relatives who live nearby, really makes it all work.
I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the extra support. I trade kids with my sister all the time. And carpooling is a savior. If I didn't have that, I couldn't be two places at one time. They say it takes a village to raise a family, right? Well, I'm not shy—I'm using my village!
Besides being a mom, Josie Bissett is an actress who can currently be seen on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
She is also the author of the children's book Tickle Monster,
