Transitioning Back to Being a Working Mom

What can I do to adjust to going back to work after my baby is born?

If going back to work is the best choice for you and your family, then relax. Make sure that you are comfortable with your child-care arrangements and, if possible, have a daily chat with your provider while you're at work.

While you are at work, allow yourself to enjoy the collegial contact and be proud that you are providing for your family. As long as your baby is well cared for, you have no need to feel bad about working outside the home. And give yourself at least several weeks to adjust to returning to work, for both you and your baby.
