Summer Recipes: Strawberry Italian Ice
Submitted by craftymama

- 1 cup of water
- 4 pints of strawberries
- 2 cups of sugar
- ¼ cup of lemon juice
- ⅓ cup of orange juice
- a blender
- a knife
- plastic trays
Mix the water and sugar together in a saucepan and let it boil for about 5 minutes. Then let it cool. Pour the mix into plastic trays.
Cut your strawberries and put them in a blender.
Once the strawberries are pureed, add them to the plastic trays and mix in the juices as well.
Cover the plastic trays and put them in the freezer.
Once the ice is frozen and you're getting ready to serve, take the plastic trays out of the freezer for about 45 minutes BEFORE serving. This way, it'll be soft enough to scoop out into dishes as Italian ice!
