Forget Discipline - My Toddler is Walking All Over Me!

I recently came home from being deployed overseas to what could possibly be the cutest 18-month-old toddler ever. He has blond hair, blue eyes, and a little pot belly with an outie. I missed him so much while I was gone, and I couldn't wait to get home to him and to start really being a dad and having an influence on him.

Well, now I'm home and he's realized that although I talk tough about discipline, he can pretty much do whatever he wants to do as long as he smiles at me and says "hi" while doing it. I'm such a pushover! I do manage to keep him away from dangerous stuff, but he's barely getting any discipline from me otherwise. He could chew on his mom's candles all day long and get away with it!

Will I get better at parenting and toddler discipline, or will he own me until he's 18?
