Avoid Meltdowns by Giving Toddlers Choices

Got a temperamental toddler? (Join the club.) Rather than telling her to put clothes on, present her with options. "Do you want to wear the pink shirt or the purple shirt?" neatly sidesteps the question of whether she's willing to wear a shirt at all.
