Potty Training Girls: Wiping and UTIs
One of the most important things to teach your daughter when you're potty training is to wipe from the front to the back. That way she won't accidentally bring any feces into her vaginal area. If that's too tricky or her arms aren't long enough, you can teach her to pat the area dry rather than wipe it.
Since little girls are especially susceptible to bladder infections when they're first potty training, look out for the following: a more frequent need to urinate, a sudden urge to urinate, pain while urinating, abdominal pain and/or suddenly having a lot of accidents again after weeks or months of staying dry.
