The Warm Water Potty Training Trick
My grandmother told me that back when she was raising my mother she would pour water on her private parts while sitting her on the toilet and she learned how to use the potty by the time she was 2.5 years old. I'm not sure if this will work for my daughter. Is this a good idea?
I love hearing creative tips from "Grandma." I think if we use these ancient ideas with respect and love for our little ones; and they've been proven to work in the past, then by all means use them!
While she's seated on her potty, slowly turn the water on in the sink and just let it run for some much needed "inspiration." Then if that doesn't work, sprinkle warm water over your daughter's privates. Explain to her you are using the water to help, "Get all the pee-pee out." Be sure to stop if she starts to cry.
