Christmas Ideas: Beaded Candy Cane Ornaments

These tree decorations add a splash of Candyland to your Christmas decorations

Candy canes just don't get much better-looking than this. In fact, you'll want to hang these high on the tree away from sticky fingers…and any wee ones who might be tempted.
  • Pipe cleaners
  • 8mm faceted crystal beads (all beads available at craft stores)
  • Tri-colored beads
  • 18mm starflake beads
  • 1
    Cut pipe cleaner in half.
  • 2
    Place pipe cleaner through hole of bead.
  • 3
    Continue with step 2, alternating bead styles as shown.
  • 4
    Wrap each end of the pipe cleaner around end bead to secure.
  • 5
    Once secure, bend pipe cleaner top to form a candy cane.
  • Any types of beads can work and be used to make different patterns.
