Christmas Recipes: Easy Chocolate Bark
Submitted by Erin

This is my hubby's favorite chocolate treat--and he has no idea that it takes less then five minutes to make!
- 16 oz semi-sweet baking chocolate (2 boxes--16 squares)
- Toppings: nuts, dried fruit, pretzels, candy, peppermint
- Wax paper
Unwrap chocolate cubes and put them in a glass microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high for 30 seconds, stir. Continue cooking in 30 second intervals until chocolate is melted (about 2 minutes). Stir until smooth.
Line a jelly roll pan with wax paper.
Use a rubber spatula to pour chocolate onto wax paper lined pan and spread to about 1/8 inch thick.
Sprinkle toppings evenly over still-warm chocolate.
Place entire pan in freezer for 15-20 minutes until set.
Break into small pieces.
Flavor ideas:
-- Cranberries or dried apricots and almonds
-- crushed pretzels
-- crushed mixed nuts
-- caramel bits and sea salt
-- peanuts and raisins
-- peanut butter or butterscotch chips
-- crushed candy canes

- Store in the refrigerator so it stays firm.
- We're guessing that this will be one of your family's favorite Christmas recipes. Maybe it's time to make it a tradition?
