Hanukkah Recipes: No-Fuss Noodle Kugel

Parents cook enough noodles. We say, give yourself a break with this No Fuss Noodle Kugel recipe that doesn't even require you to boil water!

  • 2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Generously butter a 13x9-inch casserole and layer apples in the bottom.

    Spread uncooked noodles in a layer over the apples and sprinkle with raisins and cinnamon.

    Mix together eggs, sour cream, butter, sugar, milk and vanilla with a whisk until smooth.

    Pour mixture over noodles. Be sure to gently press any noodles that are sticking up down into the liquid mixture.

    Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes, until lightly browned and set.
