Alaina Huffman's Organization Tip

To keep things tidy in our house, we play the "Organize Game." Normally, I have the kids' toys all organized into baskets, but about once a month (or whenever it needs it), we dump all the toys out onto the playroom floor and see who can get all the cars into their basket before I can get all the blocks in the bag, for instance. I make sure the kids have fun dumping out the toys and making a loud mess, but it also gives me a chance to wipe out the baskets and clean off the shelves. Sometimes we make color piles, for example, Elijah will organize all the cars into different color lines or piles and then we put them away.
