Laila Ali Gives Birth to a Baby Girl!
In this corner ... it's a baby girl weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces for celebrimom and former boxer Laila Ali!
Laila, who just hosted ParentsConnect's virtual baby shower in March, told us she was hoping she wouldn't go past her due date, and it turns out her baby had perfect timing.
"I had my baby girl this morning!" Laila tweeted today. "Sydney arrived on her due date at 3 AM! Everyone is happy and healthy."
Laila and her hubby, Curtis Conway, already have a 2 1/2-year-old son, CJ (pictured), together, 16-year-old twins, Kelton and Cameron, and 12-year-old Leilani from Conway's previous marriage. Laila told us she was hoping for a girl this time around.
"I wanted a boy really badly the first time and this time I wanted a girl really badly," she said. "I'm lucky I got what I wanted, but really what's most important is you want your baby to be healthy."
And for Sydney's grandpa, boxing legend Muhammad Ali, he wants his grandkids to be healthy and kissable. "My dad is always kissing, kissing, kissing them," Laila told us. "He's very excited about the baby—she's his 12th grandchild!"
