Have a Cleaning Routine!
It's important to have a routine if you want to keep your house clean. I have a basic weekly plan that I follow:
» On Monday I do laundry, dust, change the sheets, do the floors, take out the trash and toss my old magazines.
» On Tuesday I work in my "zone" of the week (see below).
» Wednesday is my day to clean the fridge.
» Thursday is my errand and grocery-shopping day.
» On Friday I clean the car.
» On the weekend, I rest, rejuvenate and spend time with the family! I also split the house into five zones that hit all the major areas of the house. Each week of the month, we focus on a different zone and spend 15 minutes a day in that zone. You'd be amazed how clean that keeps things! You don't have to follow my routine, but it's a good idea to create one so you stay on top of your cleaning!

only bathroom and trash disposal are scheduled. Rest gets a lick and a promise
No set schedule. Clean a little here, a little there as I feel the need
I usually devote 30-45 minutes everyday to light housework. That way, on the weekends there really isn't anything major to do. Everyone has their own set of chores that they are responsible for, and if everyone pitches in, then it makes my load much easier.
i do basic picking up, sweeping, etc everyday. toilet every week and rest of bathroom every month along with the rest of the house
My routine is maybe 1 load of wash during the week. I am to old I do more. I do it all on the weekend.
