Attacking the Fridge
To keep your fridge clean, go through it once a week (I do the fridge on Wednesday), take inventory of what you have and see what you need to toss or use up, and then clean it out. If you're pressed for time, just attack one shelf at a time, and then once a month, do a bigger clean and wipe down all the shelves. If you just toss all the old, empty, expired food, you'll be amazed how clean your fridge will look! Another great time-saving tip is to store leftovers in clear plastic bags. They're great because you can see what's in them, you can store them flat, they rarely leak and they make cleaning the fridge easy because if something needs tossing, you can just pitch the bag. Also, once a month, go through your condiments to see what you need to get rid of. We make a "surprise chicken" out of all the little bits of jelly and ketchup and whatever needs to be used up. We just dump it in a pan, toss in some chicken thighs and cook it up. It's a great way to clean the fridge and make dinner at the same time!

Since our Children have grown-up and went to college my Husband cooks dinner every night. It is so nice he does dishes too.
My husband helps with the cooking 4 days a week usually because I get home at 6pm from work, but I usually cook the other 3 days.
