Stop the Toy Insanity!
My daughter-in-law has a wonderful technique for dealing with my grandchildren's toy clutter. She puts all of the toys into four different boxes. Every month on the first of the month, she pulls down a different box for the kids to play with and puts away the current box. As she rotates them in and out, not only does it cut down on toy clutter, the kids feel like they're getting brand-new toys every month. And when you go to put the toys away, pull out any toys that are not age-appropriate, are broken or that the kids don't like anymore and either toss them or donate them to a charity.
And now for your chance to WIN an awesome bundle of Scrubbing Bubbles® cleaning products and a $250 American Express gift card, tell us: What do you do with your kids' old toys?
We been cleaning up our basement play area: re-sale, donate to salvation army (furniture), and Goodwill.
In between garage sales we dontate them. We donate large items (play kitches, table and chairs) to the local pre-school/kindergarten center.
We put them in the yellow drop boxes at churches. Churches always seem to know people in their parrish who can use them.
We either pass them onto a younger cousin or we sell them in a yardsale
I have him pick some he doesn't play with anymore and we donate them
I give them to friends or coworkers who have children that would enjoy them.
