Eat Cheap Week

This week your challenge is all about feeding the family cheaply. This week you may only spend $75 to feed your family healthy meals. Sound tough? Well you better start planning! You're gonna have to think outside of the box—the blue mac n' cheese box, that is. Get creative!


Wondering how you're gonna do it? Check out these tips:

Use coupons! Scour the newspaper or magazines or check out coupons.com, where you cam print 'em online.

Shop sales! Grocery Guide helps you compare sales in your zip code.

Plan every meal! Our Good Eats Newsletter has a week's worth of meals every week to give you some ideas. Plus, there are about a million meal planning websites—find one that works for you.

Search the web for menu and recipe ideas! Get started with our recipes or try doing a Google search on $10 dinners or frugal cooking—you'll be surprised at how many results you get.

You've GOT to make it work and you can't feed the family junk (in other words, don't go buy a bucket of chicken, Happy Meals or Flamin' Hot Cheetos every night).
