Ugly Custody Battles
How can I protect my kids from the ugly custody battle I'm having with their dad?
It is important for you and your ex to focus on the things you want for the children, rather than current or past emotionally laden issues you have with each other. Former President Bill Clinton was successful in his first campaign for the White House because of his persistent focus on the issues: "It's the economy ..." If you will adopt a similar strategy: "It's the kids ..." it will be more difficult for your ex to draw you into ugly conflicts about other issues.
