Family Cruise Vacation: Dining on the High Seas
Eat with friends. With so many fun activities onboard, you may not see too much of the kids during your cruise. So why not start the day with a little together time at Nickelodeon's Character Breakfasts on a Nickelodeon at Sea cruise, exclusively on Norwegian Cruise Line? While feasting on all their favorite food (pancakes and French toast galore!), your kids can snap photos with Dora, SpongeBob and other Nick favorites. A meal to remember!
Plan an escape. Dining with the kids is great, but adult-only meals or drinks are a nice break from the family feeding frenzy. Once the kids have eaten, head to an adult-only zone (like the Ice Bar onboard the Norwegian Epic) for a relaxing kid-free escape.
Cross borders. For a little international fun, try globetrotting from plate to plate. Pick an onboard restaurant with foreign cuisine, and if you really want to get in the spirit, pack themed outfits for the family (kimonos, berets, whatever fits in your suitcase). Plan at least one family dress-up night out—ooh la la!
Lounge and eat. If the thought of leaving that poolside lounge chair is unbearable, don't! For a laid-back twist on meal time, let the kids order a smoothie (or two) while dipping your feet in the pool.
Challenge your taste buds. If you're blessed with adventurous eaters, set the bar high for your culinary cruising experience. Figure out a plan to order from every snack bar and restaurant onboard. It's a tasty way to explore the entire ship and all its delicious dishes.
