Family Vacation: Hotel Checkout Checklist
It's time to pack the kids into the car and say see-ya to your siesta. Before you checkout, check off this list:
- Check that you packed EVERYTHING. No, really. Look under the bed, in all the drawers and in the shower.
- Check all of the outlets so you don't leave behind your phone or laptop charger.
- Call the front desk to arrange for a taxi or airport shuttle. Most hotels have complimentary shuttles. (Check with the front desk.)
- Pack everything for the ride in a handy tote you can keep with you—include snacks, CDs, DVDs and a few small toys.
- Triple-check that you have all of your travel documents—passports, airline tickets, whatnot. Put them in a safe but easily accessible location.
- If you're traveling by plane, call the airline to check on flight status.
