No, we aren't there yet, but a long-lasting distraction can take the edge off the rest of the drive. Put your iPod to good use (no, not on your ears!) by downloading kid-friendly audiobooks from sites like LearnOutLoud.com or Audible.com and playing them in the car. Or you can get hold of Oprah's latest and pray for nap time.
